IMPORTANT TO NOTE

| Materials | 

All pricing is for services and does not include paper stock or other surfaces.

We can provide links on where to purchase all materials not included in pricing or for a fee, Pen & Wit can purchase the materials for you (cost of materials + shipping plus 5% fee).  Not all paper is suitable for pointed pen calligraphy. Textured paper and metallic or shiny paper are difficult to work with.  If you are unsure if the paper will work, you can send me a sample for testing.

You must include at least 20% extra of all paper items listed above to your order in case of errors. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee if the 20% overage is not included.  Any unused paper will be returned to client.

 

| Production Time | 

Production takes between 3-8 weeks, depending on the size and time that you place your order.  More information about production time can be found the Timeline Page.

 

| Changes + Corrections | 

Three revisions are included in packages for all monograms, logos and invitations suites. Requests for additional tweaks will incur a $100 fee per request.

It is incredibly important to proofread and approve all names, addresses, etc.  Pen & Wit is not responsible for any typos or incorrect information once your order has been approved. 

Also, please note if I have already done an address that needs revisions you will be charged twice.  Same applies to names for cards and seating charts.

If you decide on a different style after the initial proof you will be billed a full design fee.

 

| Rush Fee |  

ALL jobs with less than 16 business days to complete are considered rush jobs and will incur a $200.00 additional charge to your total order.

 

| Shipping |

Please make sure to ship your materials to Pen & Wit on the date listed on the contract.  If I receive the materials later than the date agreed upon you return date will need to be adjusted and depending on the time frame a rush may need to placed on your order.

You can also have your materials shipped to Pen & Wit directly from your vendor.  If you choose this option please be sure the vendor notes your name on the package. 

Pen & Wit will confirm receipt of your materials via email.

When sending your order back to you, I will include the shipping cost in your final invoice.

 

| Variation | 

Please remember that all calligraphy and hand lettering is done by hand and therefore there may be variation in style, size, spacing, and centering.  This is what makes it truly unique and one of a kind.

 
 

POLICIES & PROCEDURES

 • A non-refundable retainer fee of 50% estimated costs is required to hold the date for work to be done, to be deducted from final balance

 • A completed order form is required to begin work

 • Projects booked and not ready to start at the scheduled time will be handled in one of the following ways:

rescheduled for the next available time, carry a rush charge, or taken off the calendar, thereby forfeiting the retainer fee

 • All custom artwork include up to 3 revisions, after which an hourly rate applies

 • Lists are to be submitted via e-mail using the Pen & Wit template to deter errors or a potential set up fee

 • Foreign names/addresses in quantity may be priced higher.
